The Trailer For Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Is Here!

It's a Star Wars world, and we're all just living in it. After The Force Awakens broke every box office record in the book, not to mentioning earning acclaim from both moviegoers and critics alike, Disney/Lucasfilm are off on their plan to make a new Star Wars movie every single year. The current plan is for every other year to deliver a traditional Star Wars episode chronicling the tale of Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron, while alternating years will be home to spin-off features that are a "Star Wars Story".


This December brings the first of such spin-offs, Rogue One, which focuses on the Rebel Alliance sending a small task force out to steal the plans for the Death Star. Watch the first trailer for Rogue One below!

First off, I think we all need to thank God that we live in a universe where Ben Mendelsohn gets to wear white-cape donning Star Wars villain. Truly, this is the brightest timeline.

Secondly, this looks like a very different beast from other Star Wars movies and I kinda love that. They seem to be going whole hog on embracing the "Wars" in "Star Wars" and that leads to a lot of cool looking shots (love those AT-AT's marching across the beach). Oh, and the cast for this film is great too, with Felicity Jones in the lead and Donnie Yen, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Alan Tudyk, Mads Mikkelsen and Forrest Whitacker taking on supporting turns. I'm game as hell for Rogue One and I can't wait to see more footage from it as we get closer and closer to its release date.
