The Perks of Being A Wallflower is a great and underrated movie that owes much of its success to Ezra Miller, whose turn in the film is full of pain, humor, passion and truth. Truth be told, I felt like he should have won Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars that year (I still love you Christoph Waltz!), but his failure to even garner a nomination in that category was nowhere near as devastating as his lack of work in the years following Wallflower. C'mon Hollywood! Jai Courtney gets all kinds of work after A Good To Die Hard bombs badly, but Miller can't get anything???
Thankfully, Millers lack of work won't be long-lasting, as he got cast as The Flash in Justice League and (surprise!) a solo Flash movie last Fall. That's not the only high profile Warner Bros. movie he'll star in though; he's also being looked at for a major role in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, a Harry Potter spin-off set for release on November 18, 2016. Eddie Redmayne is set to star in the feature as Newt Scamander, while Katherine Watterson was also recently cast in the project. Frankly, I normally wouldn't report on this until he was officially cast, but any chance to talk up the immense talent of Ezra Miller I'll take!
