Clint Eastwoods Next Movie, Starring Bradley Cooper, And The Point Break Remake Get Release Dates

Warner Bros. just did a bunch of release date announcements, for some big dramas, action flicks and horror movies they have coming out over the next two years.

Clint Eastwood had a two and a half year hiatus from directing before returning for the underwhelming release Jersey Boys. Now, last I heard, Clint Eastwood was in negotiations to direct the Bradley Cooper starring drama American Sniper. Little did I know that he had not only signed onto direct it, but also had finished shooting the movie! This one will arrive in limited release on Christmas Day 2014, before expanding into more theaters over the weekend celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

My love for Bradley Cooper knows no bounds (Seriously. The dude is nothing short of phenomenal), so I can't wait to see this one, and that Christmas release date that just screams ambitions for Oscars is a nice sign of confidence from Warner Bros. Giving it the chance to expand over that lucrative holiday weekend though has pushed another Warner Bros. picture from that release date to August 14, 2015.

The movie in question is The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which is based on the 1960's TV show, is directed by Guy Ritchie (who directed both of Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes movies) and stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Hugh Grant. Placing this new action movie has now meant Point Break (previously set to be released a week earlier on August 7, 2015) will now get to go into theaters seven days earlier on July 31, 2015. And continuing the tradition of scheduling untitled movies years in advance, Warner Bros. has also set release dates for untitled horror films from New Line Cinema to be released in 2016 on January 29 and September 9.
