The central premise of Bright is so good. A buddy cop action movie but with fantasy elements? How cool! The mind reels at the possibilities one can come up with for making a feature film centered around that premise considering just how expansive of a canvas one has to play with in terms of famous creatures, items and types of people associated with fantasy storytelling. Bright decides to just go for the most generic and non-fun version of its premise imaginable. Those expecting to have some good o'l R-rated cop movie fun here will leave wondering why such an exciting premise had to be executed in such a grimy and monotonous manner.

Training Day Still Needs Its Training Wheels When It Comes To Handling The Concept Of Consistency
It's interesting that Antoine Fuqua and David Ayer would team up for Training Day, since the duo seem like two birds of a feather in their directorial efforts. Both filmmakers tend to helm projects that are heavily action-oriented that so blatantly bask in the most overt bro-tastic concept of masculinity, their movies tend to become the cinematic equivalent of Steven Seagal bench-pressing Jeremy Piven while listening to Nickelback. For the 2001 motion picture Training Day, Fuqua takes on directing duties (this was only his third time directing a feature film) while Ayer handles the duties of screenwriting.

Where Does The DC Extended Universe Go From Here?
Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice is a big fat hit. Grossing over $420 million worldwide in just a few days, this thing is easily headed to over a billion dollars worldwide and has fulfilled the faith Warner Bros. had in this franchise when they announce half-a-decades worth of movies based on various DC Comics characters back in October 2014. The DC Extended Universe, as it's being called, is here to stay. And, as someone who hated Batman v. Superman, I have some mixed feelings about this whole thing, to say the least.

The Suicide Squad Is Ready To Roll In This First Image of Full Cast!
Since we got a photo of Jared Letos Joker last week, it does make some sense that we'd see some official imagery of the rest of the Suicide Squad cast soon. David Ayer has once again unveiled this reveal on his Twitter page, giving the world the first full look at the Suicide Squad, which you can see below!

Tom Hardy Leaves Suicide Squad Movie
Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice is a huge step forward for the DC Cinematic Universe, but Suicide Squad may be even bigger in terms of helping to establish a cohesive universe between the numerous characters in the world of DC comics. Foes for superheroes like Batman, Superman and The Flash will unite in this feature, which has imprisoned supervillains recruited to do dangerous missions for the government.

Suicide Squad Casts Margot Robbie As Harley Quinn, Maybe Jared Leto As The Joker
The first DC Comics feature after Batman V. Superman will be Suicide Squad, which will be released on August 5, 2016. The film involves a group of supervillains who are recruited by the government to go on dangerous missions. It's the project I'm most excited for out of DC's forthcoming movies (even if I wasn't crazy about the last film, Fury, from the director of Suicide Squad, David Ayer), and now it looks like the cast is taking shape.

In The Army, Yes You Can Be In A Brad Pitt Movie, In The Armyyyyyyyy
Movie stars are a rare thing these days, but I think it's safe to say Brad Pitt is one of the few we have today. He has the stunning good looks, a romance the entire nation fawns over and he's got more than a few big movies under his belt. When he's fighting zombies or being a baseball manager, audiences can't get to his movies fast enough. His darker features though, like Killing Them Softly, do tend to falter at the box office.
