Before Tom Holland, Andre Garfield And Tobey Maguire, There Was The 1977 Spider-Man Movie. It Was Bad.

We all know about the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies, we all know about the Andrew Garfield abominations and the box office from this weekend indicates we're all already super familiar and in love with Tom Holland's take on the web-crawler. But did you know those aren't the only theatrically released Spider-Man movies?? Yes, there was actually a TV movie that served as a pilot for the late 70's live-action Spider-Man TV show that ran on CBS. Though it only aired on television here in the U.S., it garnered a notable international theatrical release and even spawned two sequels (both of which were comprised of two episodes of the TV show packed together) that also garnered international theatrical engagements.

Supergirl Series Premiere Review

After launching Green Arrow and The Flash to their own individual TV shows, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have shifted their attention to getting a third DC Comics mainstay her own television program; Supergirl. While she's been a mainstay in a number of animated TV shows for years now, her live-action appearances have been limited to a recurring role on Smallville, her own 1984 solo feature film featuring Faye Dunaway and Peter O'Toole and a brief cameo in a segment in Movie 43 where she was played by Kristen Bell. Thanks to the massive marketing campaign they've given the show, it's fairly obvious that CBS hopes this new show will take her to the next level of pop culture recognition.

Melissa Benoist Will Star In Supergirl TV Show From The Makers Of Arrow

The DC Television Universe, which currently consists of Arrow and The Flash, is set to expand with Supergirl this fall, a new TV show that focuses on (SPOILER ALERT) Supergirl. She's a hero from Superman's human-resembling alien species who has similar powers (namely super strength and flying) to the Man Of Steel. There's been a massive hunt for the actress to play the hero, and now Melissa Benoist will be leading the program.

Last night, word came in that Will Arnett starring sitcom The Millers had been cancelled. The show was only a few episodes into it's second season, but ratings were middling for the show, it's most recent episode bringing in only 6.47 million viewers. I suspect a similar fortune shall befall fellow CBS sitcom The McCarthy's, which brought in even lower viewership in its most recent endeavor with only 6.36 million viewers.
