Patty Jenkins Will Direct Wonder Woman!!

Losing Michelle MacLaren as director of Wonder Woman was a crushing blow, but hey, at least Warner Bros. has gotten a pretty interesting choice, according to The Hollywood Reporter, to handle the notable superhero's first solo cinematic outing.
Patty Jenkins is helming the movie, a filmmaker previously responsible for a top-notch episode of Arrested Development, Monster and was set to direct Thor 2 until she departed the project over creative differences. It'll be interesting to see what she brings to the project, namely if she'll bring the stylized elements (like a talking tiger) that MacLaren wanted to bring Wonder Woman. I also hope that DC getting a director originally set to direct a Marvel movie incurs the folks at that rival movie studio to get MacLaren to do Captain Marvel!
