Wreck-It Ralph 2 Has An Official Release Date!

Well, the release slate for Walt Disney Animation Studios got an update today, as director Rich Moore and actor John C. Reily announced that Wreck-It Ralph 2 is arriving March 9, 2018! An image released to commemorate the occasion, showing Ralph and Vanellope looming over buildings with names obviously parodying the likes of Amazon and Google suggest that the forthcoming follow-up will take Ralph and his pals to the internet and perhaps even modern day gaming. I personally loved Wreck-It Ralph, it's got a great script, a terrific vocal performance from Reily and its world seems perfectly suited for new adventures. So yeah, I'm jacked for more Wreck-It Ralph movies!

Box Office Analysis: With Guardians Making So Much Money, How Will The Rest Of The Movies In August Do?

I've got so much articles around Guardians of The Galaxy and the Marvel Cinematic Universe planned for this week (including my ranking of all the Marvel post-credit scenes, which should go up tonight), I thought I'd focus on some other movies for this edition of Box Office Analysis. Specifically, I'm taking a look at the other movies coming out in August and how they'll fare at the box office. Of course, a movie as great as Guardians does deserve some sort of presence, so don't worry, those lovable ruffians will be around in this piece.

Editorial: Internet, Why Ya Gotta Be So Rude? Don't You Know Movies Have Feelings Too?

Not every site that features film news and opinion pieces on the internet is bad, but several have recently fallen victim to hyperbole overload. One of my favorite sites, The Dissolve ran an article last month about Paramount announcing several new sequels. Matt Singer, who wrote the article, was more even-handed than most, but every other outlet reporting it acted like the cinematic apocalypse had come. Paramount only makes sequels now until the end of time!! HELP US ALL!!
