Star Wars Is Coming To Disney Infinity!

The June 2015 Game Informer cover announcing the Disney Infinity Star Wars action figures
Disney Infinity is quite a fun game, way more so than I thought it would be. The action figures are well made and the Toy Box mode that allows you to go hogwild with the characters and environments are quite fun. Now, the next version of the game has been announced via Game Informer, who have announced all the details on Disney Infinity 3.0, which brings Star Wars into the realm of Disney Infinity.

Considering Star Wars is a major part of the Disney family, not to mention The Force Awakens coming out in December, I think we all expected the galaxy far, far away to come to Disney Infinity. But that doesn't dilute the excitement one bit of finally seeing these iconic characters being brought to life in this manner, which allows Yoda to duke it out with Wreck-It Ralph, and Elsa to battle General Grevious. Apparently, in addition to characters and playsets centered around the Original Trilogy and the Clone Wars, a Force Awakens playset will come out later in the year. I'm sure BB-8 will look adorable in this Disney Infinity realm.

To boot, new Disney and Marvel characters will also join the massively popular game this fall, including all the emotions from Inside Out, Olaf, Mulan (YAY!! That's one of my favorite Disney movies!) and the Hulkbuster and Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron will get action figures. Needless to say, this is quite awesome, especially since this is far from the end of new action figures we'll see from this version of the game (the aforementioned Force Awakens playset of course, and I'll be amazed if future 2015 Disney movies Ant-Man and The Good Dinosaur don't get action figures as well). What an exciting development! Be sure to watch the Game Informer trailer below to see behind the scenes content of people developing the games and action figures. Plus, I think I saw Jabba The Hutt in there! This really is a dream come true isn't it?
