It's been a few days over two years since film critic Nathan Rabin and The Dissolve parted ways and since then Rabin has kept busy with a number of freelance writing jobs, including My World Of Flops over at The A.V. Club and other series of essays he's penned for the likes of Rotten Tomatoes. But now, he's looking to start up his own website, one where folks like me who have always loved his writing can get all the Rabin they want to their heart's content. This is where Nathan Rabin's Happy Place comes in, a new website that's all Rabin, all the time.
The sites been up for just eleven days now but it's already pakced with content, including the start of a series of articles focused on Donald Trump-centirc cinema, an essay in the vein of My World Of Flops and Forgotbusters that's all about a Charlie Sheen headlined Crackle movie and various personal essays detailing the personal circumstances that have sometimes left him in a state of disarray. So far, the site mixes real life vulnerability with humorous anecdotes on bizarre aspects of pop culture and the world itself (who knew there was a strawberry Kit-Kat???) and I am eager to see what comes next!
As a guy who would happily call Nathan Rabin one of my own heroes in the world of writing, I thank Nathan Rabin for showing incredible dedication and starting his own website, one that I'm sure will thrive if there is any justice in this world! Do check out Nathan Rabin's Happy Place here and also check out Nathan Rabin's Patreon here since that helps keep the lights on over at that already awesome website!
