In An Attempt To Boost Its Image, DC Films May Hire Noted Anti-Semite Mel Gibson To Direct Suicide Squad Sequel

In addition to that Gotham City Sirens movie that original Suicide Squad director David Ayer and Margot Robbie are doing, it appears that a Suicide Squad 2 is officially a-go, with Warner Bros. actively searching for a filmmaker to take over the job of directing those baddies on a mission since original director David Ayer is busy with the aforementioned Gotham City Sirens movie. The Hollywood Reporter brings word this evening that Daniel Espinosa is one candidate up to direct, with another one that Warner Bros. is actively seeking being....MEL GIBSON???

Hacksaw Ridge Is An Over-Done But Mostly Emotionally Satisfying War Drama

In an on-air interview with Stephen Colbert this past week, Mel Gibson made explicit mention that he felt that the act of suffering was a critical part of his religion, Catholicism. And that comes through loud and clear in Hacksaw Ridge, a World War II movie that makes sure to find plenty of time to linger on the kind of barbaric violence and grotesque casualties that occur in war. His devotion to his faith also manages to have a heavy presence in the movie by way of the lead characters strict adherence to the ways of Jesus Christ. It must be said, as a Christian myself, it is truly nice to see a movie with my theology at the center of it that's actually well-made and professional looking. This isn't a God's Not Dead type endeavor in terms of production value in other words.

The Expendables 3 Fire Away A New Trailer Filled With Mel Gibson Antics

These character posters just befuddle me, especially
since Gibson seems to be the only actor in character

Last years Machete Kills was dumb enough enough in many respects to make an average Adam Sandler feature look complex, but its sense of fun was infectious enough to make it a watchable outing. Much of the fun came from Gibsons hammy turn as a villain who had cosmic ambitions, a role the actor wouldn't have even considered prior to his anti-Semitic controversies. Now, Gibson continues to pay homage to his heydays in the 80's as an action stars by being the maniacal baddie in The Expendables 3. The new trailer gives him and the films numerous cast members time to shine, so check it out below.
