You Should Press Pause On Passion Play

Back in, oh, I'd say...2010, I say an image from Passion Play in an issue of Entertainment Weekly with the publication promoting said image as "an exclusive first look" of an upcoming movie starring then-recent Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke and one of the lead characters of the Transformers movies. I simply assumed from that moment on that Passion Play would be a high-profile release only for the feature film to vanish off the face of the Earth afterward. It received a small May 2011 theatrical release in two locations that summoned up a massive $3,669 domestic gross and five years later I've finally managed to watch this movie.

The History of Cinematic Superhero Costumes, From The Leather Clad X-Men To Benedict Cumberbatchs Doctor Strange

In the realm of comic books, superheroes tend to fly into battle against evildoers donning colorful costumes that sometimes ended up being as iconic as the characters themselves. But for their cinematic counterparts, it's taken awhile for such attire to come to the big screen looking accurate to its comic book roots. You can mainly thank Batman & Robin for that; after that film loaded up on the color and visual razzle-dazzle, future comic book movies intended to avert being compared to that 1997 Joel Schumacher disaster by decking out their superheroes in the most drab garbs imaginable.

First Photo Of X-Men Villain Apocalypse Has Arrived!!

Entertainment Weekly has a long and proud tradition of wonderful covers that introduce new movie characters to audiences (remember those wonderful Terminator: Genisys portraits?). That tradition is kept alive this week with their newest cover, which introduces newest bad guy Apocalypse. Being played by Llewyn Davis, er, Oscar Isaac, he'll be the newest foe the X-Men have to face next summer, and you can see the first photo of him below!

Entertainment Weekly Has Unleashed Tons Of New Images From Batman v. Superman!


Comic-Con is coming up next week, and Warner Bros. is bringing the heat by showing off their two DC Comics motion pictures next year. One of those films is Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film that has generated an enormous amount of debate, ranging from the casting to the quality of the new Batman suit to the lack of color in promo images for the movie. Entertainment Weekly, as part of their annual Comic-Con issue, is not only putting Batman v. Superman on the cover of the magazine, but also a number of images from the movie, as well as my analysis of each image, that you can view below!

Star Wars The Force Awakens Reveals Character Names In Awesome Retro Style!!!

Secrecy has covered the entirety for Star Wars Episode VII for ages now, but once a title (The Force Awakens) was revealed in early November, details have been coming out at an exciting rate. A trailer arrived two weeks ago, became one of the biggest trailers ever to grace the internet, and now Entertainment Weekly has gotten the honor of unveiling the names of several pivotal characters in the feature!!
