Though Better Than Expected, The 2003 Daredevil Movie Still Finds Itself Not Realizing Its Full Potential

Surprisingly, the 2003 feature film take on Daredevil does rise above a number of the middling or outright bad comic book movies that were being made in the era in which it was released. It's a thousand times better than Catwoman, it's far more interesting than The Punisher, it's less aggravating than the 2005 Fantastic Four film and I'd even go as far as to say it's at least on par with the 2000 X-Men movie in terms of overall quality. The problem here is that's probably the highest praise I can lather Daredevil with because it's still an erratic heavily flawed movie that's kept from being something truly special due to a pretty poor screenplay, though it does have its moments of charm or gusto goofiness, can't deny that.

Finn Jones Is Playing Iron Fist In The Marvel Cinematic Universe!

There are four Marvel superheroes set to get individual TV shows on Netflix before teaming up for a miniseries entitled The Defenders that'll air on the same network. Three of those (Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage) have already been cast for a while now, and the fourth, Iron Fist, after months upon months of speculation, just got cast. Ladies and gentleman, meet Finn Jones, the man who'll be playing the first ever live-action incarnation of the superhero Iron Fist.

2015 Will Go Down As The Year Marvel Solved Their Villain Problem

Spoilers for Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

One complaint lobbed at the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a constant basis is that their villains ain't up to par. I'm not sure if that's applicable to all their films (Alexander Pierce in The Winter Soldier was a chilling adversary and Ronan The Accuser in Guardians Of the Galaxy gets waaaaayyy too much hate), but compared to layered heroes like Iron Man, Captain America or Star-Lord, yeah, I agree that foes like Whiplash, Malekith or The Abomination don't stack up very well. But 2015 brought three very different villains to life that proved that this recurring problem with creating extraordinary enemies might be a thing of the past.

Jon Bernthal Is Playing The Punisher In Daredevil Season 2!!!

Well, this is huge news. The Punisher is coming to Daredevils second season, and he'll be played by Jon Bernthal, the actor who broke out big time on The Walking Dead playing Shane Walsh. Since then, he's had major supporting turns in The Wolf of Wall Street and Fury and will have upcoming turns in 2015 features Me, Earl And The Dying Girl, We Are Your Friends and Sicario.

The State Of Marvels Television Shows

 There's been a large amount of rumors swirling around Marvel Television this week, with Heroic Hollywood running an article surrounding a large amount of rumors of what's in development at Marvel Television. Some of it, mainly stuff that isn't Hulk prequel program, sounds cool (although I don't want Ms. Marvel to just get her own show...I'd also like her to be the lead of the Inhumans movie!), but it did get me thinking about the overall state of three current Marvel Television shows. Those programs are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter and Daredevi, all of which I'll discuss in great detail below!

The release structure of all Netflix programming allows for certain television storytelling freedoms; like Cable shows, with all 13 episodes out at once, there's no need for Netflix programs to have entities like story recaps of past episodes for viewers who missed last weeks episode. This also has an influence on story and character progressions, as the various plotlines on the show tend to last for far more than one single episode.

This morning, I woke up, and as usual, checked my phone, seeing what was new on the interwebs. Marvel's Newest TV Show, Jessica Jones, Has A Lead...Krysten Ritter!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to put forth the next part of it's massive plan to expand ever onward; that part consists of four TV shows to debut new superheroes on Netflix individually before they all meet up for a miniseries event called The Defenders. The first Netflix show is Daredevil, set to be aired in May, and the next one has apparently gotten its lead actress ready to go.

Marvel's Winter/Spring 2015 TV Shows Have Airdates!

2015 will be a monumental year for Marvel Studios. The company is concluding the second phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their features The Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man, while also launching a series of shows on Netflix that start next year with Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Plus, I'm hoping the Marvel One-Shots make a triumphant return of some kind. But let's not forget about their TV offerings on ABC, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and forthcoming miniseries Agent Carter!
