With the DC Cinematic Universe fully underway, it looks like we have the entire line up for the first Justice League film, due out in November 2017. Henry Cavill will be Superman, Ben Affleck will be Batman, Gal Godot will be Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa is underwater hero Aquaman, Ray Fisher will be Cyborg and the supremely underrated Ezra Miller will be speeding into the role of The Flash.
Hard to say how that line-up is from a quality perspective since I've only seen one of these actors (Cavill) actually play their hero in a film, and he was middling at best. One member that will reportedly join the roster in the second Justice League film, due out in June 2017, will be Green Lantern, a role Tyrese Gibson wants like crazy. He's been uploading tons of stuff on his Instagram account campaigning himself for the role, and while I think he'd be an OK choice, I've got three other guys that could be even better.
David Oyelowo
He was excellent in Selma, and could bring that kind of gravitas he brought to MLK Jr. to the role of John Jordan. Plus, he's already got some experience with beloved sci-fi properties with roles on Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and Star Wars Rebels.
Elijah Kelley
Ever since he stole the show in Hairspray, I've been wondering why Kelly hasn't become a bigger deal in the 8 eight years since that film came out. Let's give this talented guy a place on the Justice League, especially if they ever plan to take this franchise in a musical direction. He'll be ready to go for that!
Djimon Hounsou
If they wanna go a bit older for the role, Hounsou would be perfect to tackle foes in brightest day and blackest night. He's got a commanding presence that would nicely contrast with fellow team members like The Flash, and it'd fit in well with a recent resurgence of work the actor has received (he was in Guardians Of The Galaxy, and he'll be in this years The Seventh Son and Furious 7)
