A Movie Called American Assassin Really Shouldn't Be This Deathly Dull

Mitch Rapp (Dylan O'Brien) has a chip on his shoulder. That chip didn't come from any Pringles can though, no, it came from watching his girlfriend (and for a moment, fiancee) get brutally slaughtered at the beach by a bunch of gun-toting terrorists. While Mitch, who serves as the lead character of director Michael Cuesta's new movie American Assassin, survived that attack and every day since then, he's been training like a madman in order to make sure he's in peak physical condition to take down as many terrorists across the globe as possible. While trying to kill a group of terrorists, he gets his plans interrupted by a group of U.S. government agents who take him in for some questioning by Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan).

The Time Has Arrived To Watch The Trailer For True Detective's Second Season

True Detective was one of the biggest TV shows of last year, and while I haven't watched it yet (I'll catch up on it on HBO Go before it's next season debuts, I promise), I'm still excited for the second season of the program, if only based on the cast. Rachel McAdams in anything gets me interested, but toss in dramatic Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch and I'm totally in. The first trailer for this new season has just arrived, and you can watch it below.

Oh What Could Have Been! John Carter Sequel Titles Revealed

I love John Carter. People look at me like I just said I have a really contagious flu whenever I say I do, but it's truly one of my favorite sci-fi films in recent years. It's refreshing optimism, the amazing effects, plus Taylor Kitsch is an awesome action hero (if only Battleship used him half this effectively!) I really wish a sequel could have come from it, but alas, all we have are these titles director Andrew Stanton tweeted this weekend.
