Aaaaaannnnnnd It's Official! Benedict Cumberbatch Is Doctor Strange!!

After months and months of rumors, it was reported in late October that Benedict Cumberbatch had been locked into play Doctor Strange. However, Marvel didn't confirm this news....until now that is! Benedict Cumberbatch is officially set to play the Sorcerer Supreme in his debut feature arriving November 4, 2016.

I adore Cumberbatch as a choice to play Stephen Strange, since he seems like the kind of guy who can A) be just well-known enough to get skeptical audience members to come see the movie and B) bring loads of gravitas to a role that requires such an element. It helps that Cumberbatch always come off as affable in interviews, and the idea of him playing a superhero nicely contrats with past notable roles playing bad guys like Kahn and Smaug.

Can't wait to see what other actors join this cast (I suggest Ken Watanabe for The Ancient One!!), as Doctor Stranges first movie finally come to life.
