Can Someone Explain To Me What The Actual Hell Is Going On In This Music Video For Hinder's Lips Of An Angel?

Every day since January 20th has felt like an eternity. Donald Trump's inauguration as President Of The United States has resulted in a daily deluge of horrors that any reasonable human should be terrified of. I've basically immersed myself in cinema, schoolwork and writing as a way to escape the horrors of reality for a brief period before returning to the nightmare that is our world now. Escapism is all well and good but we gotta keep in touch with what is real after all. That being said, can I just offer you, dear reader, a momentary sense of escapism by just overly examining a silly music video? Let's get a few yuks before going back to praising the likes of ACLU for standing up to what's right.

The Music Video For Taylor Swifts Bad Blood Goes Big On Spectacle And Nonsense

The Good, The Bad And The Swift
Being a huge fan of Taylor Swift, you can imagine my excitement over her debuting the music video for her new single, Bad Bloods. My anticipation was likely heightened due to how much I enjoy the song itself; every time it popped up on my iTunes Radio Top 50 Pop station, I couldn't help but get giddy and/or dance. It's a shame then that this music video is just so incoherent. I mean, what the hell just happened here?

Five Of Taylor Swifts Best Songs

Taylor Swift has certainly become an icon in recent years, with the initial fame greeting her in 2007 with her initial songs never ceasing. On the contrary, her newest album, 1989, has recently been dubbed the biggest album of 2014. What is it about this girl that's so irresistible to the public? As a big fan of her music ever since Tim McGraw emerged on country music radio, I can attest her music is so popular due to how universal the lyrics and themes of her songs are.

One Year Later, What Does The Fox Say Remains A Bizzare Musical Gem

Musical phenomenons are not unusual, with things like Gangnam Style, Call Me Maybe and Let It Go overtaking the human race in ways both exciting and terrifying. A week after I saw Frozen, I mentioned the phrase "let it go" in a reference to the film, and I received blank stares. A single month later, saying one of those three words in any context would trigger endless singing. Last September, one song continued the trend of a popular tune taking over, but this one was....well, let's say different.

Taylor Swifts New Song Combines Familiar Message With Craftsmanship

We all enjoy consistency in our everyday lives. I know I do. There's nothing more comforting than seeing certain things stay the same, especially considering how much in this world changes on a regular basis. It's nice to know that the sun will always rise and that Christmas will always come with Winter weather, but what we as a mass audience love is consistency in pop culture. Superman got under fire last year for the very uncharacteristic he took out his primary antagonist, and for good reason. That move betrayed all the character stood for and was not only a product of needlessly updating a beloved entity in order to be "hip", but was also a reminder of Man of Steels unending shoddy screenwriting.
