Stephen Amell Will Become A New Kind Of Vigilante, Casey Jones, In New Ninja Turtles Movie

A sequel to last years Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film was announced on the previous movies third day of existence. The humongous box office that followed proved such a decision was a smart one financially, and the newest film is set to start filming ASAP. It's long been noted how a sequel would likely introduce notable TMNT characters like Casey Jones or Bebop and Rocksteady, and at least one of those entities, Jones, will be coming to the big screen next summer.

Slashfilm brings the news that Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen on Arrow, is playing Casey Jones in the film. His name never crossed my mind for the role (I for some reason thought James Franco could play him, because why not?), but he could be alright here, I guess. I wasn't crazy at all about the last Ninja Turtles movie, but who knows, maybe this one will do something interesting with these long standing characters. At least we know Casey Jones won't fail New York City now!
